We (Wisse, my photography companion and and I) where heading to the Oostvaardersplassen area yesterday, as the weather forecast promised us a sunny morning. There was a thick mist were taking decent pictures was out of the question. I decided to take Wisse to my Owl-tree. In this tree, Long Eared Owls are roosting from November till April. In good times more than 30 Owls are roosting in this tree. We stayed there for 10 minutes, took some photos and left in order not to disturb them too much. The landscape is taken near the IJssel river where Mute Swans were coming in for the night. We watched them from a hide (see 3rd picture).

Start-of my first blog!!!

Now I can update my fieldtrips overhere. The best thing is that it goes quickly without the Dreamweaver software. You all can still watch my website ofcoarse at www.jcstel.nl where the majority of my photos will be shown.
I will use this blog for recent fieldtrip reports, for equipmentreviews and maybe for some private stuff (like photos from my family and friends. We will see....
